Justice Reconstructive Freedom

Criminal Justice is unequal throughout the state of Alabama. This reconstruction is to lower the number of prisoners in the justice system through litigation, advocacy, and equity.

Ms. Flowers knows that reducing poverty is a multifaceted process, but she intends to promote economic growth by increasing the minimum wage to $15 per hour, meeting with the extension agencies and the commissioner of agriculture to formulate a plan to invest in educating the poor, providing financial literacy, gardening skills, job training, and job readiness. She plans to meet with the farmers and the mayor's association of Alabama, develop a program to install a water filtration system to clean our water, ensure affordable housing, and develop a plan to put in place a ceiling over costly rental pricing for more affordable housing.

Yolanda said it best.

"It takes work to come to a solution, and the solution isn't just to build more prisons." -Yolanda Flowers
