Economical Reconstructive Freedom
Alabama's economy can be so much better if the right person is in office. Yolanda will fight for funding and an economy that works for everyone.
Ms. Flowers knows that reducing poverty is a multifaceted process, but she intends to promote economic growth by increasing the minimum wage to $15 per hour, meeting with the extension agencies and the commissioner of agriculture to formulate a plan to invest in educating the poor, providing financial literacy, gardening skills, job training, and job readiness. She plans to meet with the farmers and the mayor's association of Alabama, develop a program to install a water filtration system to clean our water, ensure affordable housing, and develop a plan to put in place a ceiling over costly rental pricing for more affordable housing.
